TEAM - is for 4th-7th graders who are TOTALLY ENERGIZED AND MATURE! (TEAM)
Junior Team
Fourth and fifth graders, who complete the training and initiation, help lead Children’s Chapel as servant leaders to the younger children. Their job is to treat one another, and the younger children, in a way that ‘draws the younger children to their Savior’. They serve as role models for the younger children who come to Children’s Chapel by interacting with them and modeling enthusiasm for worship. They prepare skits, puppet shows and present scripture in creative and engaging ways. They also help with set up and clean up for children’s chapel. Fourth and fifth graders meet for training and pizza lunch 6 times a year. They are scheduled to lead children’s chapel about once a month. On the day they are scheduled they meet Ms. Vicki in the chapel room at 10:30am to practice for that days worship experience.
6th and 7th graders are placed in groups with Junior Team members to help lead children’s chapel as servant leaders to the younger children and Junior TEAM members. Their job is to treat one another and the younger children, in such a way that ‘draws them’ to their Savior’. Senior TEAM members serve the Junior TEAM members through their leadership and example and take on more responsibility by being involved in planning and practicing scripts on their own. They also help with set up and clean up as needed. Senior TEAM members meet 3 times a year for pizza party and planning. On the day they are scheduled, they meet Ms. Vicki in the chapel room at 10:30 to practice for that day’s worship experience.
High School students
High School students (9th grade and above) who would like to help with children’s chapel can serve in the adult rotation and will be scheduled along with other adult volunteers. High School students interact with younger children in a friendly way, and help get the group to and from children’s chapel safely and happily! High school students are scheduled twice a quarter, as needed.
