[Prayer Ministry] [Witness Ministries]
Care Team:
Teams are comprises of one of the following: 3 to
5 people, one family, or an individual, who on an occasional basis
cooperate to provide a meal for a church member in need (Illness, birth,
death of the family, etc.).

Congregational Retreat Planning Team:
This team works on the organization, planning, and implementation of
all facets of our annual congregational retreat. It's typically held
from a Friday night through Sunday lunch sometime in February or early
March. The retreat is open to singles, couples, and families of all
ages. Separate educational components are provided for adults, youth
and children as well as intergenerational fellowship activities. We
have Sunday morning worship before leaving. Our 2003 retreat will be
held at Natural Bridge!
Members to Ministers Team:
Team members seek to involve each of our members in the life and work
of Christ's ministry in and through St. John.
Additional information.
Memorial Luncheon/Reception:
This team comes together on an occasional or as-needed basis to provide
receptions with light meals for family and friends following a
funeral/memorial services of members; may be finger
sandwiches/salads/desserts or simply pastries depending on the wish of the
family.
Prayer Ministry:
This ministry is all about caring for others by lifting them up in
prayer.

Sports:
We regularly field teams in basketball and softball leagues and would
explore other areas (volleyball, golf, bowling) if there's interest in
leadership and participation are expressed.

Stephen Ministry:
Through 50+ hours of initial training and then continuing education,
prepare to extend Christ's ministry by becoming a caregiver to a person
experiencing crisis or transition in his or her life.
Tables of Eight:
This fellowship event is limited to 32 adult couples. They meet
in groups of eight people who meet for dinner in the homes of members or
visitors on a quarterly basis. Participants rotate so you're with a
new group at every dinner.
Transportation Ministry:
Team members provide rides, as able, to members who occasionally find
themselves without transportation to worship services, Bible studies,
church fellowship and other activities, doctor/dentist visits, grocery
store, bank, etc.
Witness Ministries:
Team members plan and implement ways to educate, stimulate and lead
members of St. John to reach others with the Gospel and to deepen their
own discipleship.
