  • Since 1984, more than 18,000 women have trusted Blue Ridge Women’s Center with their most personal concerns. Unplanned pregnancy. Relationships. Reproductive health. With pregnancy testing, pregnancy dating by ultrasound, pregnancy consultation, classes for women and couples, and many other support services, they specialize in the well-being of women and their families.

  • They are our community partner in ending hunger in our region. Feeding SW Virginia nourishes neighbors across 26 counties and nine cities in the Southwest Virginia region and is the largest supplier of charitable food assistance in Southwest Virginia.

  • Friendship House serves our Roanoke neighbors through gospel-centered ministries of mercy and empowerment in order to alleviate the effects of poverty. Some of their missions are to help in refugee housing, supplying emergency food, and providing children’s after school care.

  • To meet the need in our area, they provide holistic, trauma-informed support that victims and survivors deserve. In 2021 Virginia’s only juvenile human trafficking shelter will open in the Roanoke Valley. It will be the only safe home in Virginia that serves juvenile victims of sex trafficking.

  • With the mission statement “helping hurting people in Jesus’ name,” the Rescue Mission of Roanoke is a comprehensive crisis intervention center for men, women, and children. They offer life-saving services aimed at transformation and restoration.

  • At Shield Chaplaincy we believe that if officers are emotionally and spiritually healthy, they are more likely to serve longer, do a better job while serving, and find greater fulfillment both at work and at home. Working in cooperation with Roanoke City Police, Roanoke County Police, Salem Police, and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, we aim to provide full-time chaplains to support our local law enforcement officers. Chaplains Stephenson and Potter have met privately with hundreds of officers and have done more than a thousand ride-alongs with officers and deputies from these four departments.

  • This ministry provides food, clothing, and education as well as medical and dental care to orphans in its OMNI village in Zambia through help from St. John and other churches. St. John provides financial support and sponsorships each year.

They offer help and hope to a hurting world in the name of Jesus by strategically going to the orphaned, the widowed, the hungry, the thirsty, the homeless, the refugee, the suffering, the unreached, the abandoned, and the oppressed.
