Thrive is our ministry for 7th and 8th grade youth. We are a community seeking to help each other thrive in Christ. We welcome you wherever you are on your spiritual journey.
Regular Ways to Get Involved
Sunday mornings:
- Pre-confirmation course: 9:45-10:45am in the Youth Center: Join us to study the foundations of our faith: the Lord's prayer, the commands, the creeds, and the sacraments.
- Worship @8:15 and 11am: Youth are encouraged to worship with their families and serve as ushers, greeters, acolytes, or communion assistants.
Sunday evenings:
- Youth Group: 6:30-8:30pm:
Join us for
dinner, fun, and seeking to help each thrive in Christ. Parents Please pick up youth from the upper parking lot at 8:30pm.
- Basic Youth Group Structure:
- 6:30-7: Dinner
- 7-7:45: Games and group building
- 7:45-8:30: Lesson and small groups
- Small groups: Small groups seek to help youth foster Christ-centered relationships with peers and mentors, to develop a passion for the Word in their lives, to have fun and enjoy life, and to take responsibility for serving in God's kingdom.
- Youth can sign up or join in a small group at youth group starting September 12th.
Other opportunities:
- Dramatic arts: Join Keith on Thursdays from 6 to 7:30pm to learn how to express your love for Christ in creative ways through dramatic arts: voice, dance, skits, and drama.
- TEAM: serve younger kids at Children's Chapel during worship services. Please contact Vicki Paxton for more information.
- Acolytes: Serve in a time-honored tradition at our classic worship services by helping to lead the congregation in worship.
