Les and his wife Raeann, live in the 100+ year old Botetourt County dairy farmhouse in which he grew up, the fourth of five children.

He received his B. S. degree in Agricultural Engineering, Va. Tech and spent 33 years in real estate marketing, sales, and property management.

He was raised in the Episcopal Church. His adult church background includes Baptist, Pentecostal, and Anglican until he began working for and attending St. John Lutheran in 2012.

He is also a home repair and remodeling contractor and has "flipped" 18 houses.

He believes God has brought him here to help people . . . and tell corny jokes (to the dismay of many).

One of his favorite passages:

“Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices wholly and pleasing to God for this is your spiritual worship. Be not conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
