Youth Group
Sundays @ 6 pm
An evening of Fun, Fellowship and Food!
Students in grades 6-12 are invited to join us Sunday nights, during the school year from 6:00 - 8:00 pm for Youth Group… Food Offered at 6:00 pm!
Youth group is our primary youth activity where we worship, live in community, and learn about God in a real and deep way. Our youth go on a Christ-centered journey through the story line of Scripture, learning key essential doctrines along the way, being equipped with a Christian worldview so they can live it out accordingly.
Missional Work
At St. John, we want to empower youth to participate in God's mission in the world through appropriate mission opportunities.
Once a year, we mobilize a team from our high school and middle school for a mission trip which focuses on service and relational ministry projects. Teams have traveled to Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, MN, WV, SC, KY and other parts of VA.
In 2024, we were excited to send our teens to Elliott County, Kentucky to assist the community in development and construction through Next Step Ministries.
Our youth also serves locally with Straight Street, Blue Ridge Women’s Center, Rescue Mission, and Feeding America.
At St. John, our vision is to equip and empower students to walk as mature disciples of Christ.
